Below are some images taken a few days ago. Naturally, it’s much greener now after the summer drought, thanks to all the rain that has fallen. When we came to Cyprus last July, it was hot, very hot and dry. February is the coldest month here on the island but also the shortest.
Lovely Greenery and a Blue sky.

I knew there are plenty of citrus plants growing here on the island. The diversity of the Cypriot citrus fruit is fascinating, oranges, lemons, limes, minoles, tangerines, pomelos, you name it. I read that Cyprus’ citrus fruits have a rich flavor and a unique aroma, and that’s true.
But, I had no idea that bananas, mango, guava and papaya are also grown here. Compared to Malta, it feels more tropical here. It happens that I miss the tasty sweet lovely strawberries and the typical Maltese bread. The season for fresh figs is much longer here and I love papaya.
Spring is approaching, almond trees are slowly but surely starting to bloom, the days are getting longer and right now, everything feels good. This is my kind of “Happiness in a nutshell”
