What did I do with all my tomatoes I grew? There were too many for me to eat and my dear husband doesn’t like tomatoes?? Although I can eat them as candy, it turned out to be a little too much candy. So, what did I do?

The red, ripe ones I froze whole as they were, piece by piece, to later decide how to use them.
I decided to get rid of six of my tomato plants, which means about a third are gone. As there were quite a few green unripe tomatoes left on the thin twigs, I made a chutney.

For the chutney I used apple, cinnamon stick, hot chili pepper, ginger, apple cider vinegar, garlic, yellow onion, brown sugar and a pinch of salt. It turned out delicious, an excellent accompaniment to grilled food.

My dear husband is the one who cooks in our home, so it could have been a surprise for him. Although there was no surprise. He stood by, had opinions and probably wanted to do everything himself. We ended up making the chutney together, although at least the idea from the beginning was my own :))
