Inspired by Anna in Portugal who grows corn for her own use, I bought a couple of fresh corn cobs from our local greengrocer here in Paphos. If I remember correctly, I paid 65 cents per kilo, cheap and healthy.
It’s been years since I ate freshly boiled corn on the cob, and it was delicious.
What I didn’t know was that corn is a fruit and not a vegetable!
My dear husband wanted butter and salt on them while I thought they were tasty just as they were. Next time we’ll try cooking them on the grill. Thanks for the inspiration, Anna!
