Below are some of the few butterflies I managed to capture so far here in Cyprus. Some live among the plants in our garden and I look forward to exploring more of these amazing creatures. Although there are other creatures as well, today I found a huge hairy spider in our kitchen!! But I guess it was just a friendly tarantula.

A beauty in all its simplicity.
The blue ones were the first butterflies I saw this spring, they were many, small as a thumbnail, constantly in motion and not easy to catch.

I guess this is a Small Copper Butterfly (Lycaena Phlaeas) A common and widespread species, often seen both here and in Malta.
Moving House Update:
We’ve now been living in our house in Zelemenos for almost two weeks. Our belongings has arrived and there is a lot to unpack, a little too much. When seventy-two boxes in different sizes plus other things wrapped in plastic were delivered to our house, I realized that we have brought too much stuff from Malta. I take one day at a time, a couple of boxes a day and slowly but surely, I will finally feel at home.
