Another summer with dragonflies in my garden, hovering around the fish pond. This summer, as in previous years, the fish pond in our garden has been visited by dragonflies. From early morning until late afternoon, several red and one striking blue dragonfly have hovered above the water, like graceful companions.
Luckily, for me, they often pause, resting on the plants that shade the fish in the pond when the sun is at its hottest. It has been a very hot summer, and it still is.
As summer slowly draws to a close, I hope the dragonflies continue to circle the pond a little longer. They have become part of the garden, like tiny guardians, dressed in red and blue, watching quietly over the surroundings.
