Early Spring Wildflowers in Paphos

It’s hard not to notice them — they are everywhere.

Small wildflowers, quietly marking the arrival of spring.

Above, field marigold (Calendula arvensis), quietly brightening the fields.

Barbary nut (Moraea sisyrinchium), a delicate iris-like wildflower in early spring.

Wild pea (Pisum sativum), now growing abundantly in fields and meadows.

Neapolitan garlic (Allium neapolitanum), also called white garlic, is hard to miss.

All photographed in Paphos, Cyprus, in March 2026.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.
