Along the Way – again

Along the way, I return to the same paths again and again. But they are never quite the same.

The light shifts, the seasons move, small details appear and disappear. What I notice changes too.
These are moments from familiar places — seen once more.

Sally and Felicia on the path, beside a sea of greenery and yellow wildflowers.

A photo taken in early March.

A lizard has finally started to appear again, though it disappears just as quickly when you get close.
This photo was taken yesterday, in mid-April.

A nut from last year is starting to lose its grip. The almond trees had barely begun to bloom.

I took this photo at the beginning of February, just before the buds began to open.

By the middle of March, the almond trees were in full bloom.

By the end of March, something new had already begun, small almonds, still hidden inside their shells.

Now, in mid-April, it is still spring, but you can clearly feel summer getting closer.

And soon, the season will shift once more.
