Dragonflies have a habit of catching my eye, and I’ve taken far too many this summer. Many of the images are rather similar, so it’s time to sort through them. Here are a few from the many I’ve taken so far — and I haven’t even gone through half yet!
I never seem to tire of photographing them. There’s always something different to notice.

There is never enough. Dragonflies and damselflies have such interesting personalities. It’s wonderful to photograph them each chance you have. These are beautiful moments you captured here.
Thank you, Egídio! I agree — there really is something special about photographing them, and they all seem to have their own little personalities. I’ve seen far more dragonflies than damselflies here, though — I’ve only managed to photograph one damselfly so far!

Exactly! 😁 They make it very hard to stop as there’s always a chance the next one will be just slightly better than the last, so I take one more, and one more, and one more… 😉 And then I have all those photos to sort through!

I saw a mathematical equation today which may be appropriate for your case. Although he was taking about guitars, he said the optimum number of guitars (dragonflies) you can own (photograph) is n+1
Haha, that explains everything! 😂 So the answer is obviously n+1 — just one more photo! 😉
