Autumn’s Gift – The Season of Pomegranates

Pomegranate season in Cyprus starts from late August to September, continuing through the autumn and into the beginning of winter, filling the landscape with color.

The trees are now heavy with ripe fruit, some have even split open naturally, revealing their ruby-red seeds. A feast for the eyes, and for the taste buds.”

A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds.”
— Saint Basil

Your photos brought back childhood memories for me. We used to have a pomegranate tree in our backyard.

Then you know how difficult it can sometimes be to get the berries out without splashing red everywhere 😅 Thank you for commenting Egídio.

Älskar granatäpplen, men har inte ätit dom på år och dag. De är ju inte direkt lätta att äta eller rättare sagt “ta ut”, men goda är dom. Och din bild – man vill ju bara sätta tänderna i frukten:-)
