Praying Mantis in My Garden

I spotted this praying mantis in my garden the other day, moving among the pelargonium leaves.
It wasn’t the easiest subject to photograph, constantly shifting and trying to hide among the foliage.
But I got lucky — for a few moments it paused, and I had the chance to capture it up close.

Praying mantises are skilled ambush predators, using their camouflage to blend in and wait for prey.

They rely on patience, often staying completely still for long periods while waiting for the right moment.

A fascinating insect, perfectly adapted to blend in with its surroundings.
