From My Archive #6 – Stockholm Revisited (Part 2)

More photographs from my Stockholm archive, taken during visits in 2013 and 2016. Some of these places were once part of my everyday surroundings, especially Södermalm and Gamla Stan, where many of my walks with the camera led.

Looking back at these images today, they feel less like travel photographs and more like fragments of another chapter of life. Scenes like this still remind me of hours spent wandering through the old streets with my camera.

Stockholm may be a capital city, yet some corners still feel unexpectedly quiet, colorful, and almost small-town-like.

Pieces of Stockholm’s past can still be found among the narrow streets and historic buildings.

Many streets in Gamla Stan felt calm enough to wander slowly, simply watching everyday life pass by.

In Gamla Stan, the Old Town, art and old Stockholm often seemed to blend together.

Colors, rooftops, and old architectural details often caught my attention in Stockholm.
