During a recent walk with my dogs here in Koili, I came across the first dragonfly I have photographed this year.
It proved to be a cooperative subject, remaining on a dried flower stem long enough for me to capture these images.
While photographing the dragonfly, I noticed this striking spider in a nearby web.
Its colours seemed to echo those of the dragonfly, making it a fitting way to end this post.

Thank you, Brian! I got curious after your comment, so I looked it up and found what it might be. It doesn’t seem to be a Jewel Spider, it looks more like an Argiope species, which in Swedish is called “Getingspindel,” meaning “Wasp Spider”. But I’m not sure.😁🕷️

Knivskarpa och mycket tilltalande bilder på dessa märkliga insekter. Jag kom nog inte åt att fotograferar en enda förra sommaren, får se vad denna sommar ger. Och ja, spindeln passar bra in i serien.
