I almost walked past this tiny little lizard without noticing it. All I saw at first was a tail sticking out from a dry Wild Carrot plant. Then I looked a little closer, and there it was — almost completely hidden among the dried seed heads.

The plant was taller than my 163 cm, so I had to stretch to get the shot — camera in hand!

I only managed a few pictures from different angles before my little model suddenly decided it was time to leave.
One quick leap to the ground, and it was gone.

A tiny surprise, a few photographs, and a very successful disappearing act.
Just a tiny lizard? Perhaps. But also a small life in a much bigger world — worth stopping for.
