Can a Post with Nothing but Nuts Be Interesting?

Can a post with nothing but nuts really be interesting?

I take photos because I’m always looking for something worth capturing in the world around me. Being able to preserve moments and details through my camera is what inspires me to keep photographing — even something as ordinary as almonds on a tree.

I often wonder what to do with all the photos I take — and who they’re really for. Maybe photography is simply about noticing something, finding it interesting enough to stop and look, and then sharing that little discovery with others.

So, here are some almonds.

You can decide for yourself whether these nuts were worth photographing.
For me, they were. And if you’ve read this far, perhaps they were worth looking at too.
🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
By the way, I also love almonds as a healthy snack, which made me think of a post I made in 2021, when I was about to go nuts.
Maybe I did.

Huh. To be honest, I never thoughts nuts photographed from this close could look so interesting. That is cool!

I think you wrote that beautifully. Anything can be pretty interesting if you photograph it right so kudos to you for having such a perceptive eye!

Thank you so much, Erna — that means a lot. It’s funny how something as simple as a nut can become interesting when you look closely enough. Sometimes the smallest things turn out to be worth noticing.

Absolutely! Even the simplest subjects become fascinating through a good lens. The sharp details and natural textures on the almond shells are beautifully captured. Plus, I learned how almonds “are born.” 📸🌱Great work! ✨

Thank you so much, Aura! 😊 I’m glad the almonds managed to be a little more interesting than they might seem at first! And yes, it’s fascinating how something we usually just eat has quite a journey before it ends up on our plate.

Simple subjects are often the ones we overlook in our daily lives. So, by all means, keep capturing the beauty around you. The textures in these images show something I never paid attention to.

Thank you very much, Egidio. You’re right — the simple things are often the ones we walk past without noticing. I’m glad these textures caught your eye. I’ll definitely keep looking for the small bits of beauty around me. It’s always nice when someone else notices them too.

Tror du har en poäng där Anita … jag tror vi gillar att fota det vi upptäcker för stunden. Fina bilder på mandlarna … och visst är de goda!
