The day after chasing Swallowtails around my lemon tree, I came across this one early in the morning while out with the dogs.
This time, there was no chasing involved. It just sat there, perfectly still in the morning light, giving me the chance to take a few photos before it flew off.

Great capture. So accommodating to be photographed.
Thank you, Rebecca! 😊 Yes, this one was unusually cooperative!
What a beautiful creature. Its wing look like a Tiffany stained glass window.
Thank you, Marie! What a lovely way to describe those wing — Tiffany stained glass is a perfect description!
What a wonderful morning surprise! Such a stunning macro shot. 📸✨It seems the butterfly was waiting to greet you and the dogs! Perfect timing. 🐾🦋, but….I must admit I’m a bit jealous of your morning luck. 😏
Thank you, Aura! I think we just happened to pass by at the exact right second. I’ll send a bit of that morning luck your way. 😁
Thank you, Anita! I’ll gladly take all the luck I can get today. ✨ Have a great one! 🍀
Your timing was perfect, and this butterfly even matches the flower colors. Gorgeous!
Thank you for your kind words, Egídio – much appreciated.
