Butterfly Magnet

Salvia is more than just a colourful addition to my garden.
Its nectar-rich flowers are a magnet for bees, butterflies and other pollinators throughout the summer.

If butterflies could choose a favourite colour, I’d guess purple would be high on their list.
It’s certainly one of my favourite colours in nature too.

Large or small, butterflies seemed to agree on one thing—the purple salvia was well worth a visit.
Luckily for me, both visitors stayed just long enough for a few photographs.

This tiny visitor was much smaller than the first, but it proved that you don’t have to be big to catch the eye.
