This week’s CFFC topic is “Anything to do with boats” and since I’ve been to Marsaxlokk recently I show some pictures from this small, traditional fishing village located in the South Eastern Region of Malta. For the sake of the colors and for Horus’ eye which is said to protect the fishermen when they are at sea.
“We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.”
– Martin Luther King, Jr.“There are a lot of mysterious things about boats, such as why anyone would get on one voluntarily.”
–P. J. O’Rourke“The sea is the same as it has been since before men ever went on it in boats.”
– Ernest Hemingway.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge.
Neither more nor less from Malta today!
This is my first entry for Nancy Merrill’s photo challenge, where the theme for the week is Blue.
Where the first picture of the boy in blue jeans was taken, I will show in a later post.Blue color in two different pools, or maybe the same pool but from different angles in different light.
Old and new surrounded by blue…Back to the pool for a dip in the blue……before embarking on this sailboat for a trip on the Mediterranean blue sea.
A Photo A Week Challenge / Blue
my pictures…Today, my pictures speak for themselves. This little sweetie grows fast. Fanny is now nine weeks old and I really hope she will fit into the cage during the flight between Sweden-Malta when she’s fifteen weeks! Of course she will.
A new building seen from our sixth floor terrace. Here I like the straight lines.
Fertilizer for our plants, every week.
An old building, a scene in Popeye Village here in Malta. Worth a visit for both adults and children.
Click on an image to enlarge. To each image there’s a short text.Faith, a necessity whatever it is based on. Faith in the Mediterranean when the sea is calm. Or rent a bike. When I moved here seventeen years ago there were no bikes on the streets. And absolutely no apps either.
These are just a very few pics from another lovely weekend here sunny in Malta, where I chose the theme blue. More to come…
